THE WORKSHOP
Bench work
GT AMPS works on amplifiers, speakers and tube gear case by case: we assess the real condition, measure, test and define the path before moving forward.
It can be a ground-up build, a repair, a restoration, a conversion, or a unit being prepared for the Pool.
In-house builds
Amplifiers built here, one unit at a time: cabinet, chassis, electronics and hand-wiring on eyelet boards.
Detail
Every build starts from a circuit and an intended use. From there we define components, cabinet, speaker, layout, testing and final setup.
Repairs
Inspection, repair and fine-tuning of tube amplifiers to recover tone, response and reliability in real-world use.
Detail
Bench, measurement, signal generator and oscilloscope to find and correct the fault. Guitar, volume and real playing to confirm how the amp responds.
Restoration and conversion
Gear that needs to become reliable again, or adapt to a new use.
Detail
We review faults, previous work and compromised parts — preserving what is worth keeping and replacing what no longer makes sense.
Components and judgment
Tubes, capacitors, transformers and speakers chosen for the circuit, the use and the character we are after.
Detail
Behind every choice there is research, comparison and listening: modern and period-correct parts, speakers, caps and transformers are tested, rejected or adopted for what they bring to each amp.
